Impact Groups
"Impact groups offer a unique opportunity to explore issues of common concern."
Impact groups are:
Focused on issues that are common to all participants.
Issue is focused on in detail, allowing participants to dig deep into how to move forward in their business.
Experts are brought in where needed.
Short term group, no more than 8 meetings with small amount of farmers, 6-8 participants.
Facilitated by experienced DPI Dairy Extension Officer.
Impact groups allow new issues to be explored and developed quickly and effectively.
What is the DEC’s Role?
Maintain contact with and provide support to the impact group. Facilitate meetings and provide links between farmers and experts in a given field.

Please note the initiation of Impact Groups is subject to a number of criteria including; Your location, numbers attending, funding and REC Approval.
